Blessing of the Polish Folk Dance Ensembles
On Sunday, March 31, 2019, members of the Wawel Folk Ensemble attended the 17th Annual Blessing of the Polish Folk Dance Ensembles at St. Hyacinth Church in Detroit, Michigan. Wawel has attended each of these masses since the event's establishment. The brain child of St. Hyacinth's former pastor, the late Fr. Francis Skalski, the event has been continued by St. Hyacinth's current pastor Fr. Janusz Iwan. Despite cold temps, snow, and numerous freeway closures, the event was well attended by numerous Michigan based Polish Folk Dance Ensembles.
