Early Spring Update

Hard to believe that March has already come and gone and we're already well into April. Wawel has so far had a busy spring with several public appearances. These appearances included:


3 March 2012 - Performance at the Fifth Annual Polish Folk Dance Festival at the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy, Michigan. At the festival, Wawel presented its new Kujawiak/Oberek and Kurpie suites, as well as its Sieradz suite.


10 March 2012 - Performance at the St. Paddy Day/St. Joseph's Party at the American Polish Century Club in Sterling Heights, Michigan. At this party, Wawel presented its Sieradz and Rzeszow suites.


18 March 2012 - Appearance at the Tenth Annual blessing of the Polish American Folk Dance Ensembles at St. Hyacinth Parish in Detroit, Michigan.


8 April 2012 - Appearance in Resurrection Mass procession at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in Detroit, Michigan. Wawel has participated in Sweetest Heart's Resurrection Mass for over thirty years.


There are several additional performances on the horizon for Wawel. These include:


15 April 2012 - Polka Festival at the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy, Michigan.





29 April 2012 - Transfiguration/Our Lady Help of Christians/St. Ladislaus Parish Festival.


There are also many performances already slated for the summer months. These include:


June 2012 - Polish Fest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wawel has performed at this event since 1998.


July 2012 - Annual Polish Festival sponsored by the American Polish Century Club in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
