Music of the Slavic Lands
On Sunday, October 14, 2018, the Wawel Folk Ensemble performed at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in Detroit, Michigan as part of a concert called: Music from the Slavic Lands. The concert featured choral selections performed by the Detroit Concert Choir and the Filarets Mixed Chorus. Wawel was invited by the Filarets to dance a polonez while the Filarets sang. Wawel also presented a suite of dances from Sieradz.
Wawel's next performance is Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the American Polish Century Club in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Wawel will perform before the club's monthly meeting as part of the club's Polish Heritage Month commemorations.
