American Polish Century Club 37th Annual Polish Festival

On Friday, July 7, 2017, members of the Wawel Folk Ensemble performed at the American Polish Century Club ("APCC")'s 37th Annual Polish Festival in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

A long standing performance on Wawel's schedule, Wawel participated in the Festival's opening ceremonies and then presented a 1/2 hour performance.  Wearing folk dress from the areas of Eastern Krakow, Wawel presented suites of dances from Eastern Krakow, Bilgoraj, Sieradz, and then its Dances from Old Warsaw.  Wawel is also honored to have one of its members, Cheryl, as the 2017 APCC Polish Heritage Queen.

Following the performance, members of the ensemble remained on the festival grounds to experience polka bands, the Polish Muslims, and the best in Polish cuisine.
