Tatry Song & Dance Ensemble 45th Anniversary Concert
On Saturday, April 29, 2017, members of the Wawel Folk Ensemble traveled to Windsor, Ontario, Canada to participate in the 45th Anniversary Concert of the Tatry Song & Dance Ensemble. Wawel performed its Sieradz and Bilgoraj suites during the concert. In addition to Tatry's performances, the concert also featured performances from the Wici Dance Ensemble from Chicago, Illinois as well as performances from Goralska Kapela Kontrabanda from Chicago, Illinois.
Following the performance, members of the Ensemble attended a banquet held in Tatry's honor at the Dom Polski hall in Windsor to celebrate this milestone. At both the concert and banquet, Wawel's artistic director, Donna Skurski, who is the current president of the Polish Folk Dance Association of the Americas made a presentation to Tatry on behalf of the Association.
