Bal Radiowy

On Saturday, January 30, 2016, the Wawel Folk Ensemble performed at the Polish Varieties Radio Program's annual Ball held at the San Marino Club in Troy, Michigan.  For its performance at Bal Radiowy, Wawel presented its BiĹ‚goraj and Sieradz suites and then participated in a grand Polonez which included the guests of the Ball.

For 85 years, Polish Varieties Radio has been on the airwaves in Detroit.  Its current home is on WNZK (680/690 am) in Detroit.  The program features Polish music, news and interviews both from Metro-Detroit's Polonia as well as from Poland and other Polish communities elsewhere in the world.  The program's host is Jurek Rozalski.  Wawel was honored to perform at this event and thanks Pan Rozalski for inviting the ensemble to perform.

Following the performance, guests at the Ball spent the evening dancing to the music of Rytm and Mister System.

Wawel's next public performance is February 6, 2016 at the Annual Polish Folk Dance Festival in Troy, Michigan.
