9th Annual Polish Folk Dance Festival
On Saturday, February 6, 2016, members of the Wawel Folk Ensemble performed
at the 9th Annual Polish Folk Dance Festival held at the American Polish
Cultural Center in Troy, Michigan.
The brainchild of area choreographer, Tomasz Kielar, the Festival serves as a showcase for all metro-Detroit area Polish folk dance groups and is well attended by metro-Detroit's Polonia. Wawel has performed at this event since its inception. For the 2016 Festival, Wawel presented its Biłgoraj suite and its Dances from Old Warsaw.
In addition to a great afternoon of dancing, the event was capped off with two dancers from the Dunajec Song & Dance Ensemble getting engaged. Congratulations!
