Wawel 2014 Update
Wow! Hard to
believe it’s the end of July already!
Where did the summer go? Where
did 2014 go? It’s been a little while
since we’ve updated the blog, so here’s a quick run down of happenings with the
group:
June 29, 2014 – Wawel performed at the Austrian Society’s
picnic in Shelby Township, Michigan.
March 15, 2014 – Wawel performed at the American Polish
Century Club in Sterling Heights, Michigan’s annual Patty/Joe Party.
April 20, 2014 – Wawel participated in the Resurrection
Mass at Sweetest Heart of Mary church in Detroit, Michigan.
April 27, 2014 – Wawel participated in a Mass at St. John
Paul II Church in Detroit, Michigan celebrating the canonization of Sts. John
Paul II and John XXIII.
May 18, 2014 – Wawel performed at St. John Paul II Church
in Detroit, Michigan’s annual Potato/Apple Festival.
June 7, 2014 – Wawel performed at Our Lady of Czestochowa
in Sterling Heights, Michigan’s annual festival. This performance was done in conjunction with
the Czarny Dunajec Dance Ensemble from Sterling Heights, Michigan. In addition to the performances from the two
groups, the event also featured a fashion show featuring various Polish Folk
dress.
July 11, 2014 – Wawel performed at the American Polish Century
Club in Sterling Heights, Michigan’s annual Polish Festival.
Upcoming Performances:
July 27, 2014 – Wawel will perform at the annual PNA
Piknik at 5:30 pm at Wanda Park in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
August 5, 2014 – Wawel will perform on the Orchard Lake
St. Mary’s Campus.
August 10, 2014 – Wawel will perform at Sweetest Heart of
Mary Church in Detroit, Michigan’s annual Pierogi Festival.
September 1, 2014 – Wawel will participate in the annual
Polish Day Parade in Hamtramck, Michigan.
