Friends of Polish Art Wigilia
On Saturday, December 15, 2012, members of the Wawel Folk Ensemble performed at the Friends of Polish Art's annual Wigilia held at the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy, Michigan.
Wawel presented a 20 minute dance program which included its Krakowiak and Kujawiak/Oberek and its Sieradz and Biłgoraj suites. The performance featured the ensemble wearing their newest folk dress acquisition from the region of Biłgoraj. Following the performance, members of the ensemble led the audience in singing koledy.
Wawel's next public appearance will be on December 24, 2012 at midnight mass at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in Detroit, Michigan.
