Polish Night in Rochester Hills
On Thursday, September 17, 2015, the Wawel Folk Ensemble performed at St. Irenaeus Parish in Rochester Hills, Michigan as part of its Polish night. The Ensemble presented its Cieszyn and Sieradz suites, along with the Krakowiak and its new Polka Warszawska.

Late Summer Activities
With Summer wrapping up, the Wawel Folk Ensemble shows no signs of slowing down. Lots of performances and appearances are in store as the Ensemble celebrates its 50th Anniversary.
On Monday, September 7, 2015, the Ensemble participated in annual Polish Day Parade in Hamtramck, Michigan. The parade is held on Labor Day in Hamtrmack, Michigan and dovetails with Hamtramck's annual Labor Day Festival. The parade has been a long time event on Wawel's performance/appearance calendar.
On Sunday, September 14, 2015, members of the Wawel Folk Ensemble attended mass at St. John Paul II Church in Detroit, Michigan. During the mass, the Ensemble received a special blessing on the occasion of the Ensemble's 50th Anniversary.
After Mass, the Ensemble performed at St. John Paul II's annual Fun Fest. Wawel's performance consisted of the Krakowiak, Cieszyn and Sieradz suites as well as its new Polka Warszawska and its Saxonet Polka. Wawel has a long affiliation with St. John Paul II Church (the cluster of St. Ladislaus, Transfiguration, St. Louis the King, and Our Lady Help of Christians Parishes).
